I am an amateur artist working in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. I work primarily with acrylics, but I have recently started experimenting with collage and mixed media. I take my inspiration from previous art movements, especially pop art and folk art.

I have been entering open exhibitions in Melbourne for the past 4 or 5 years, and I enjoy having a theme and deadline to work towards.

When not creating I am usually found reading, watching movies, and surrounded by cats.

36.5 x 49 cm

$75

Strange Universe

Collage, 2025.

55 x 29 cm

$200

The two artworks I have chosen to enter into the Anomaly exhibition are all rather experimental for me. I wanted to focus on what the word anomaly means to me.

Anonymous Fashion is a collage I made while actively thinking about the theme, and I believe that they way colour and black and white images are used creates a sense of disruption or misalignment. I also wanted there to be an almost eerie atmosphere, which is why the faces of the models are mostly covered up.

Strange Universe came about through my want to experiment with how I could push my collage creating. I was trying to create a galaxy that feels strange and out of place while still being identifiable. I was also trying to experiment with layers in my artwork, and how to give some dimension to a 2D piece.
