Rockets
Lino print, found ephemera and acrylic on canvas, 59.5cm x 49.5cm, 2021
$200
“Rockets was created as a way to utilise found ephemera to replicate the crusty, layered walls filled with paste ups that make up our urban landscape. Part environmentally conscious and part inspired by aesthetic, Rocket consists of found ephemera and paper sources combined with original lino prints. Linocuts were printed on found paper sources to explore the idea of reusing and recycling art materials. The aim with Rockets was part an exercise in ethical art practice and part exploration of textures occurring in everyday parts of our cityscape, overlooked by some while appreciated as unique parts of our lives in Melbourne.”
