Maria Kocsis
I am a multimedia artist and photographer working with macro, urban, and experimental processes. I focus on small details that are easy to miss, both in nature and in the city. The work comes from looking closely at textures, patterns, and everyday arrangements rather than searching for dramatic scenes. My practice includes experimental photography, mixed media, and occasional installation. I am based in Melbourne, Australia.

Sometimes a rock looks like a face.
A hollow becomes an eye.
A crack starts to resemble a mouth.
These photographs come from paying attention to small formations in natural environments. The images simply record moments where textures and shapes briefly resemble something familiar.
